Gosh, you're all just a bunch of QQers. Didn't you do alright without the storage before the update?
Yeah. You did. Leave the cost where it's at, because there's no actual reason to have it go anywhere. Only reason why getting it now would be a pain is because the Z-Coin bug hasn't been fixed yet.

I'm perfectly happy that we now have new quests every day that we have the choice of doing. What I'm not happy with is the lack of any other option. It seems too much like they're trying to force us into doing these new quests, as though they have self adequacy issues with them or something and think otherwise no one would do them.

People did just alright with IWAY before those updates, why should they change now?
Seriously, the "you were alright before" argument is always dumb. The past doesn't matter with stuff like this. Things change and we have to change with them or get left behind.

Marverick had the best idea so far. That way, you could slowly work your way up from the Small Pack up to the Heavy Pack with less inconvenience, and periodic upgrades to reward sticking with the means of getting the better Packs.
The rest of the whining... just /gimmegimme spam, as far as I can tell. Grow up, and get the frag over it.

All i've been hearing about this update is "Waaahh i cant get the best thing NOW.. waahhhh-whine-rant-QQ-Waaaaaahhh"
People, you need to learn that you cant always get what you want, right away, and sadly with the current PvE Meta SC Everything, people get upset when something comes along and they cant get it right away.
Learn to suck it up and actually WORK towards something, it feels more rewarding in the end.

Those prices are VERY bad designed.
At the rate gold coins are acquired, it may take between 2 weeks and more than 2 months to get them. And to get them in less than 2 weeks you need to do quite hard core questing, and focus all coins in one character, while the rest of the characters that also worked for the coins get nothing.
This is GW.
Those prices and time required to get those items are NOT GW-like.
The light bag should not cost more than 1k, and the heavy pack should not go over 10k.
1k, 2.5k, 5k, 10k.
That's GW-like.
You can get the small for 50 iris flowers, and you get those in less than half an hour without trading.
And what's with the replacement? I pay for a bag, and then what do I do with the precious one? Give it to another character that already have it? Sell it to other players that already have it?
Why go for the 10 and 15 slots bags when there is a 20 slot bag?
People will ONLY get the 5 slots, and then grind for the 20 slots.
This design is flawed, and must be fixed.
Change the 10, 15 and 20 bags into runes that require the previous size, and reduce the price of those runes.
Then, each of the 3 runes will make a bag into the next size, until its maximum.
That's how you do it right.

This is a big grind, and I'm loosing a lot of interest in this series for fears Grind Wars 2, Now With More Grind! will be right around the corner. At these rates, I know I'm never going to get these for all of my characters so I'm not really feeling the motivation to even try for one.

NO YOU'RE WHINING. STOP IT. GRAAAAAR
Never mind the fact that you are right, the tiering of the system is flawed just as major runes used to be. Remember when they were -50? Why bother using a major? It's health sac was too much for too little, better to just use the sup or suck it up and use a minor. After Anet finally, after years of "whining", managed to see the reality of that mistake and fixed it, you see more people running majors as an alternative. You can run double majors with the same health sac as a sup and play around with your atts more. Much more effective.
What is it about fanboyism that causes people to act as apologists for the game companies? Do you do this for governments as well? Stop whining? You're lucky they even gave you this much? They didn't have to do anything? Hell I paid for this game, and the other 3 games, at full price when they first came out. I'm not asking for things on a silver platter, I just want things to make sense. Not being able to buy and sell zcoins makes no sense.

Yep, that would do just fine
That removes stress of saving for 20 slot bag and not wanting to let 1 or 5 coins get wasted by buying lesser bags.
That what it really needed, way of gradual upgrades.

The scaling of the Equipment pack sizes (e-packs) and the cost / effort linked to them is flawed. There is a HUGE disparity.
It is almost like they don't want you to get any 20-slot e-packs, or even 15-slot e-packs.
Here's why:
You can get 5x 10-slot (50 slots!!) e-packs for the price of 1x 15-slot e-pack.
Why the hell would you ever get a 15-slot e-pack?
If you do ever decide to get a 15-slot e-pack, and then thinking about getting a 20-slot e-pack, you realise... you can get 3x15-slot e-packs (45 slots total) for the price of 1x 20-slot e-pack.
Why the hell would you get a 20-slot e-pack, for less than half the storage, at the same cost?
The only real scale that makes sense with the e-packs is going from a small e-pack (5 slots, 5 silver coins) to light e-pack (10 slots, 10 silver coins).
(The Red Iris Flowers and 2.5k for the small bag is very easy, so not even taking this into account.)
Here's a simple breakdown (valued in Zaishen coins):
small e-pack (5 slots) - 5s
light e-pack (10 slots) - 1g, 10s, 500b
large e-pack (15 slots) - 5g, 50s, 2500b
heavy e-pack (20 slots) - 15g, 150s, 7500b
Come on ANet, you can do better than this.

Something should be changed on the way these are being done currently.
Anet should consider raising the rewards for the pve quests/bounty Something like 75 in nm, +150 in HM. They should also allow gold coins to be bought for 5000 faction as thats how much a zkey costs and a zkey can be bought for 1 gold coin.
Then you could get coins via ziashen challenge/elite, pvp (in all its flavors) or just pve questing.
I like the above idea of having the bags upgradable in tier in some way, via runes or something. A higher version buyable at the endgame areas would be good also. That gives more people more options on ways to do/obtain things.

Just seems like another ploy by anet to keep us all grinding for desirable items until they get round to releasing GW 2
I'm not saying these bags should be easy to get (gold-wise), I don't mind paying say 20k for a heavy equipment pack and then 15k for a large and so on I just think they should be easier to obtain for those who can afford them

How would paying 100k or so for a 20 slot bag not be working for it? XTH aside.
I don't care if they're a lot of gold, I just don't want to have to grind for them. I don't like playing the game anymore, I'll probably never get them through grinding. I have gold though, and I would pay. Make them 100k, that's a huge gold sink. I'd get them for all my chars, and that's 1600k out of the economy right there. Others probably would too...
I just want an alternative, I won't grind for this.

That is exactly the reason I dislike this update. And the most lame and ridiculous thing is, it's not even new grind... It's just redoing old content for an extra big reward. Yay Anet!

And then people will say, "OMFG 100K?!?!?!?! TOO MUCH, LOWER THE PRICE. FFS."
Perfect. The problem here is obviously that people keep wanting more and more, except this time Anet has drawn a line.

I love how anet repeatedly dumbs down this game and yet this update they make something so essential worth hours and hours of grinding... are they trying to make us give in and buy storage panes instead of getting the in-game storage? Even doing quests on HM and completing the daily bonus on the combat mission, this is going to take forever. As badly as I could use a 20-slot bag for my main character and all her armor sets, I don't know if it's worth it. I will have to grind hours a day for a days and days to get that many coins... and just 7 rounds of dumb kurzicks in AB made me want to ragequit.

Arenanet themselves even said they wanted to make Guild Wars less likely to enduce grinding. That is why they did the HoM update. Even though I can say even if they don't fix it so it's less to grind over, people who are happy to grind might be willing to sell their equipment packs for ingame gold. *hint hint, wink wink* This contradicts what they were trying to do when they made the coins non-tradeable. So instead of grinding yourself, you should just let others grind and then buy the packs for insane amounts of platinum/ecto.

Wrong. Wrong. Wrong.
People are complaining about the way Anet has gone about implementing this feature which was hyped considerably after years of constant berating by the playerbase because this is something extremely basic in games of this genre. They're not saying I want 'em free...they are saying the SCALING of the 4 different equipment bags is completely botched up. 2500 coins for 15 slots or 7500 for 20...hmm...I wonder which I should get...NOT!
Quote:

Wrong again. SCs are an example of Anet's idea of what represents a challenge and their failure to enforce the same. It is a completely different issue and dont bring this in just to try and prove an assumption which is factually incorrect.
Quote:

If we were talking about something like Titles? Sure, I'd agree with you. But are you listening to yourself? Suck it up & work towards getting inventory bags? Okay, fine...I'll grind the quests for a month & get them on my Sin. Then what? Do it all over again for my Monk? Remind me again what exactly would be the difference between Guild Wars & Maple Story then. I thought, when I purchased this game, that the entire point of the lvl 20 cap, 8 skill bar, green weapons & things like that was that you reach the level playing field faster without grind .
Now, I'm sure Anet was trying to implement this with the aim of giving people an incentive to do the Zaishen quests more often. But here's the thing...when the reward is only achievable to the extremely hardcore who are doing the quests on all their characters EVERY SINGLE DAY with the goal of getting those equipment packs (which is the very definition of grind), then you kill the spirit of the game.
Am I saying there isnt any grind in GW? No...Eye of the North was an exemplary example of that. But look what they did there. They buffed the cut off points for all PvE skills, so that what earlier needed r8 is now what? r5? r6 in some cases? That's a step in the right direction which was taken AFTER a ton of people on forums much like these made their opinions about it known LOUD and clear. So, Anet's not perfect. They CAN make mistakes. I just hope they dont take quite as long to fix this mess as they did the previous ones.
Tl;dr version: You are wrong. You are bringing a completely different issue into this argument. SF nerf plz q.q threads thataway.
